General Summary of Responsibilities

Responsible for fulfilling duties assigned by the editor in chief according to sub-specialization (sports coverage, graphic design, social media, advertising etc.)

Required Qualifications

Must be a current VSU Student enrolled for six credit hours and maintain at least a 2.0 cumulative grade-point average.

Previous participation on the Spectator required unless waived by the editor.

Preferred Qualifications

Journalism course and/or experience applicable to sub-specialization; must be self-motivated, reliable, and able to work well with others.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite preferred; Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite a plus; knowledge of social media a plus;

Must have exemplary written and oral communication skills.
